4th month: let’s travel!

July 4th: Last day in Mansfield! Today was my very last day in Mansfield! I packed all my stuff and then I drove around the area with a friend to check a few nice spots. It was amazing! It finally worked out to take a picture of the beautiful parrots which you can find everywhere in Australia. Usually these birds are way too fast and you can’t even get close enough to take a picture… but it worked today!! Later in the afternoon one of my colleagues from the ski resort picked me up to drive me to Benalla where I had to take the train to Sydney later in the evening. We had so much fun tonight! We made a stop at Nillachootie lake which is a very nice lake near Mansfield and then we drove to Benalla and had dumplings for dinner. We went to some stores and then Jamie dropped me at the train station. So sweet of her to drive me here as it’s 45 mins drive! Unfortunately the train was replaced by a bus due to the heavy rain so that would take way longer… Anyway, let’s go to Sydney! July 5th: W...

2nd & 3rd month: 2 months in Mansfield🏔

(May 9th): Next adventure! Today it was time for The next adventure! Im going to work at The Farmhouse in Mansfield which is a children Day care / Pre-K. This morning I took the bus at 8:30 to Mansfield which was a 3 hour ride. It was beautiful as we only drove through the nature basically! When I arrived in Mansfield I first had to go to the post office as I needed to get some important childcare qualification papers. It was a little annoying as I didn’t have a permanent address yet, but luckily it still worked out at the end. Then I dropped my stuff at the motel I’m staying the first 4 nights as my apartment will be available from Thursday. It’s a very nice motel and right now I have the room totally for myself! When I walked to the Farmhouse (20 mins walk) I got a nice welcome from one of my colleagues and later the receptionist showed me around everywhere. It’s a pretty big farmhouse with 4 different groups of children all different ages. This afternoon I worked with 3-4 year old k...

Finally time to make one of my dreams come true! Going to Australia has been on my bucket list ever since I started traveling. Totally the other side of the world, even further than the USA! It should be wonderful there I thought. Now I can finally see this with my own eyes! In this blog you’ll read everything about my trip in Australia! Hope you’ll enjoy reading it! (April 17th): Let’s get ready to go!✈️ Time to get ready for my first backpacking trip! I’m so excited! Only 2 weeks ago I told my parents about this plan as I wasn’t sure whether I could go or not. They were so happy for me and very surprised as well! The only thing was that my flight would be at 7:00 AM from Düsseldorf so we had to wake up very early on Easter! Luckily my parents didn’t really care about that! My first flight was to Athens which was a 3-hour flight. Nothing compared to the next flight to Singapore which would be 12 hours… I was a little nervous for my covid test in Athens as my throat hurted a bit, but l...
